The founder of The Grit Chronicles. I'm 56 years old, a mother of two and someone has lived through both extraordinary highs and devastating lows. My life has been a journey through adiction, loss, recovery and rebuilding, and I've learned that even in the darkest moments, hope and change are always possible.
For years, I struggled with alcoholism and addiction. I lost my home, my family and almost lost myself. There were times when I felt completly hopless—moving from hospital beds to institutions, fighting for sobriety, and trying to find my place in the world that felt unforgiving. There were relapses, heartbreak, and times when I truly believed I would never make it out. Today I am sober and proof that is never to late to begin again.
The Grit Chronicles is where I share the stories that shaped me—the wild, the painful, the redemptive and the unforgettable.. These stories aren't just about survival. They're about grit resilience, and the courage to start over.
Here I discuss addiction, recovery, motherhood, and the realities of rebuilding a life. But more than that, I tell stories because stories connect us, heal us and remind us that we're not alone.
Hope rises and falls. Grit remains. Sobrity stays.
